Tax audit support in Tunisia: your questions
What is the difference between a desk audit and an in-depth tax audit?
A preliminary (desk) audit is carried out from the tax office, based on your returns and the documents held by the administration. An in-depth audit covers your entire tax situation and is based on your accounting records, usually at your premises.
How should you respond to a tax reassessment notice?
Without delay: the response deadlines set by the Tunisian Code of Tax Rights and Procedures are short and binding. We analyse each adjustment, gather supporting evidence and draft a reasoned response to reduce or cancel the additional tax and penalties.
Can you request a tax audit yourself?
