IFRS reporting in Tunisia: your questions
Which Tunisian companies are concerned by IFRS?
The Tunisian National Accounting Council has undertaken the gradual adoption of IFRS for the consolidated financial statements of public interest entities (listed companies, banks, financial institutions, insurers). Subsidiaries of foreign groups must also produce IFRS reporting for their parent company's consolidation.
What does an IFRS conversion involve?
We identify the differences between Tunisian accounting standards and IFRS (leases – IFRS 16, financial instruments – IFRS 9, revenue – IFRS 15, deferred taxes, etc.), restate the accounts and then prepare IFRS-compliant financial statements and notes.
Do you support subsidiaries of international groups?
Yes. We prepare consolidation reporting packages in accordance with IFRS and group procedures, within the closing deadlines set by the parent company, in French or English.
